The Space Between Summits, 2nd edition (previously titled “Another Step Up The Mountain") is now available.  In this re-release that includes additional photos, The Space Between Summits, Dianette shares her deeply personal story of finding herself and her passion and the traumas that propelled her through life. 

Torn between devotion to her three children and her obsession with extreme sports, she left an empty marriage and its financial comfort in an effort to harmonize the two aspects of her life that, while sometimes contradictory, were the sole focus of her existence. 

While being a devoted mother, she climbed the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on each continent, including Mount Everest and Denali, participated in life threatening Eco-Challenges, dangerous Raids, and Ultra races around the globe.  

As her children grew into their own interests, she supported their endeavors to succeed in whatever direction they chose. Whether it was law, business, travel, or extreme sports she encouraged them to follow their innate talents. 

Dianette, a remarkably strong woman overcame all obstacles until she suffered the agonizing loss of her son, Johnny. After that she withdrew from life until she rediscovered her passion and dedicated her participation in adventure sports to her son and his causes.
